Gas Station Pack

DownloadCenter: Gas Station Pack »

To give your city a bigger variety of gas stations, here is a set of ten different brands in various shapes and sizes, based on the great set of models released by Heblem (LBT).

  • Chevron - 5x2 (14 Jobs)
  • Conoco - 6x3 (15)
  • Petro Cnd - 4x3 (13)
  • Shell - 5x2 (11)
  • Esso - 4x3 (12)
  • Exxon - 5x3 (15)
  • Lukoil - 4x2 (16)
  • Mobil - 3x3 (9)
  • Valero - 4x4 (10)
  • Cheapo - 3x1 (3)

All of them are growable commercials (CS§), with a moderate number of jobs, as each of them also has a little store/foodmart on the grounds.

The lots are meant for corners, so keep that in mind while zoning. They grow early in the game, so make those you want to keep historical right away.

At least one of the sides is usually kept pretty open, so you can combine the station with other industrial lots to make larger truckstops or restareas by the highway or similar. Here just two examples how to combine them with different industrial lots:

Combined with 'Vandy's Trucking Corp.', part of the 'Modular FreightStation'

Combined with the 'Modular Industrial Plazas'

Do your own experiments, you'll find countless ways to combine all kinds of lots :-)

Development Notes

TIP: If you want to force-grow the stations at a later point, temporarily block Maxis' COM-buildings, zone for proper size (with CTRL), then run the game for a while. After stations have developed at your chosen spots, make them historical, remove the blocker and continue as usual.

Install

Just move the files into the 'Plugins' directory under My Documents/Sim city 4.

Uninstall

Simply bulldoze any of these lots in your cities, then remove the file(s) from the plugin directory.

Usage

Growables only.
All pieces are in separate files, so you can delete any you do not wish to use.

As with all things from the internet, USE AT YOUR OWN RISK. I tested the lots and they work fine for me. No one but you is to be held responsible if your computer is subject to termination of any kind. If you have any questions or comments, please feel free to join the simpeg forums.
